A Texas DJ whose mix-tapes and CDs were much coveted throughout the South during his lifetime, DJ Screw made an art form out of "screwing" hits, meaning that, using the turntable, he would play with the speed of the tracks. Although he died of a drug overdose in 2001, his influence is still felt today, and this release features DJ Screw at his best, working his magic on the turntables and telling the story of how he came up in the world. Concert footage, music videos, and freestyles are augmented by Screw's tales of meeting members of the Click and getting his start on his rise to the top.
